Procrastination

It's February 15th, so technically I do not fit into the "Resolution-er," profile. But I made it to the gym this morning for the first time this year. Since Thanksgiving, really. And before that, I can not remember the last time I consistently visited the gym. But I do know that I need to create a routine. And stick to it.

I am officially weigh more now than I ever have. And I can blame it on my sugar addiction. I can blame it on working 50-55 hours a week, or the stress of being a graduate student (beginning my thesis). But the sooner I take control of my actions, the sooner I am able to implement a solution! It is my life. I can make time.

I decided to start this blog so I can record my workouts, my eating habits, and my weight loss journey. Yes, I know there are "apps" for that. And I have used them. They work for some people, that I do not doubt. However, as history shows, I am not one of them. So I thought of a new "angle," and intend to successfully keep track of my journey here.

My daily workout:
20 minutes on treadmill: 3.5 incline at 3.5 mph
20 minutes on elliptical

My daily food:
Breakfast: 1/2 banana, Sausage Casserole & Eggs (Weaver St. Market)
Lunch: Leftover Chinese (beef & broccoli, fried rice)
Snack: Yoplait Greek Yogurt (lemon)
Dinner: Crock Pot Butter Chicken, Basmati Rice, Peas/Carrots/Asparagus/Corn (frozen bag)
Dessert: Lindy's Watermelon Frozen Ice

So...yeah, my food intake isn't great. Don't judge me! It's my first day!

My goals for the week:
Prepare meals for lunches & dinners
DO NOT eat out!
Go to the gym at least twice more

Baby steps, suckasssssss! Until next time...
